Bring your friends for a glass of wine and we are sure you’ll enjoy your time with us. Mark your calendars!

Read below for a sneak peek of who all we will be presenting:

Brackish Bow Ties, from Charleston, presents handcrafted, gorgeous ties 100% made of feathers – perfect for this upcoming wedding and gala season.

From Hawaii, Letarte resort wear presents a bohemian island aesthetic with signature prints, intricate adornments and lavish details. These are the stylish pieces all ages can enjoy during winter vacations with their well made cashmere toppers and ponchos.

Traveling from Houston, Melissa Braniff brings her fine jewelry designs that incorporate rare and ancient coins. These pieces don’t simply make a statement but they connect history as well. These are gorgeous holiday gifts and certainly conversation starters for anyone who wears these pieces.

Anatomie, traveling from Miami, is one of the absolute best women’s active and travel wear lines. They use all French and Italian fabrics and craft their pieces into sophisticated and flattering lines. The next time you have to run out of the house without getting all dolled up, you can certainly throw their pieces on and still be stylish.

Molly Jane Designs is a jewelry line based in Atlanta. Each piece demonstrates natural minerals and gemstones while also mingling feminine flair with an unexpected edge. Each offer an elegant, timeless and dramatic lasting presentation.

Cal Breed of Orbix Hot Glass hand blows all his beautiful glass creations. His studio is based right outside of Huntsville, AL, where he creates these beautiful works of art for the table, desk, kitchen, etc. by hand. Whether you put flowers in your stunning pitcher or serve drinks out of it, his pieces will certainly spark conversation at your next entertaining affair.

The tremendously talented Jonathan Savage of Savage Interior Design not only has his successful interior design business but he has also opened up his own retail shop on Taigan with many hard to find home goods like Christian Tortu candles and Antica Farmacista and his own private label of linens. At this show he will be presenting a plethora of fine home goods that will add that extra bit of charm to your kitchen and powder rooms.

Lexie Armstrong from Franklin, TN, is a wonderful watercolorist. She has not yet been launched on Taigan but she is coming soon. This will be her first presentation with us in Birmingham and we can’t wait to share her whimsical pieces depicting sweet plants and animals. We will be presenting several original works of hers at this show.

Notti Toffee‘s delicious cheese wafers will be served throughout the entire event. These delicious, bite size goodies will be exactly what you’ll need, along with your glass of wine, to make for a great shopping experience! Thank you, Notti Toffee, for sending some of these our way!

We are thrilled to be hosting this pop up shop with our close friends from flower magazine. Birmingham is flower‘s home base and we couldn’t be more excited to work with them on this show. And for those of you who are unfamiliar with this fantastic publication, be sure to check them out online and come visit us next week to learn more!

Gallery 1930 is so graciously hosting us and our designers next week in the heart of Mountain Brook in English Village. This quaint, local gallery is full of charm and the perfect home for our event. Not only will you get to enjoy our designers presenting their craft at the pop up shop but the walls will be filled with beautiful paintings for you to view as well!

We hope to see you all there!

Cocktail time.
Start off with a Peach + Mint Sweet Tea Martini

Gather:
1 ½ oz. Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka
1 ½ oz. Orange juice

1 oz. sparkling water
1 heaping tsp. Sallie’s Greatest Peach + Mint Jam
Thin peach slice
Fresh mint leaf

Create:
Put it all in a shaker with ice. Shake to blend then strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a peach slice and fresh mint leaf.

Pair up your cocktail with a starter.
Baked Brie with Blackberry Spice + Sage

Gather:
17 oz. round of Brie cheese

3 tablespoons of Sallie’s Greatest Blackberry Spice + Sage Jam
Fresh or Frozen blackberries

Create:
Slice the top rind off cheese leaving the side round in tack. Place Brie in the center of a Brie baker or pie plate. Put the Blackberry Spice + Sage Jam in the center of the brie. Top with blackberries. Bake at 400 degrees until cheese melts (about 10-15 mins). Serve with crackers and sliced apples.

Main Dish.
Scallop & Roasted Pepper Salad with Peach Pepper + Ginger Dressing

1 lb. scallops
2 large green or red peppers (or buy roasted peppers and skip this preparation)
2 tomatoes cut into wedges
1 cucumber sliced
1 small sweet red onion chopped (can use white sweet onion or 2 green onions)
½ cup crumbled goat cheese
Mixed salad greens or arugula
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup Sallie’s Greatest Peach Pepper + Ginger Jam
Salt & Pepper to taste

Create:
Preheat broiler. Place washed peppers on rack in broiler pan. Broil about 15 minutes close to heat until charred. Put peppers in plastic wrap or a brown bag and let stand 10 to 15 minutes until skin wrinkles and can be pulled away. Remove loose skin. Cut peppers in half and remove seeds, then cut into I inch pieces. Arrange salad greens on plates (or in a bowl) top with peppers, onion, tomatoes, cucumbers and goat cheese. Pan sauté 1lb scallops or shrimp in 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon butter. After browning on both sides, put 1 teaspoon of Peach, Pepper + Ginger in pan with 2 tablespoons water. Toss to glaze. Mix olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and Peach, Pepper + Ginger jam together. Toss salad with dressing and top with scallops or shrimp. Serves 6.

Sweet Finish.
Blueberry Lemon + Thyme Lemon Squares
Gather:
2 cups plain flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter
4 eggs
1 ½ cups sugar
1/3 cup lemon juice
¼ cup plain flour
½ tsp. baking powder
Sallie’s Greatest Blueberry Lemon + Thyme Jam
Create:
Sift together flour and powdered sugar. Cut in margarine to form crumbly mixture. Press in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Beat eggs: add sugar and lemon juice: blend well. Sift flour and baking powder and mix well with egg mixture. Pour over crust. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until top is light brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars and top each with a teaspoon of Blueberry Lemon + Thyme Jam.

Pecans are in Putt Wetherbee’s blood. His father, a pecan grower since 1959, purchased Schermer Pecans in 1977 and with it became the owner of one of the largest pecan companies in Georgia. Days spent alongside his father atop one of Georgia’s only two mechanized harvestors, a four year-old Putt was fascinated by the pecan business from this tender age.  Shelling gadgets and gizmos were eye-candy and Putt relished the camaraderie that came with harvest time and in the everyday inter-workings of the Schermer Pecan shelling plant. Now at 42 and having taken over the family business, Putt is still inspired by pecans – from watching the buds break in April to harnessing the latest in technology and managing the increased world demand.

Putt resides in Thomasville, GA with his wife and children but can often be found traversing the Georgia orchards with his dogs, calculating the crop set and munching on salted pecans.

Putt put together some of his favorite picks for Father’s Day Gifts.

As a father of three girls, I’m used to getting lots of awesome art projects and colorful ties for Father’s Day.  I wouldn’t trade them for anything but a few suggestions never hurt right?

If they are going to buy me brightly colored knickers – let them represent one of my favorite pastimes

I have a favorite rod but twist my arm.  It wouldn’t hurt to give this one a try.

Father’s day breakfast in bed, if you are serving these bacon biscuits, then yes please.

This is a sharp looking iPhone Case.

The gift that keeps on giving…this boat is fun for me and the whole family.

To heck with father’s day – I want to eat this cheese everyday! Luckily I live in Thomasville so that’s a possibility.

Ahh fatherhood… The love of my daughters and nights at home with them, a good drink and the smell of wild salmon on the grill.

What is not to love about this. Pecans with just about anything is delicious and this bourbon and pecan gelato is a match made in heaven.

The Southerner’s Handbook is guide to living the good life – count me in!

Any dad of girls needs advice…lots of it. Try this book by Tom Limbert for some added wisdom.

Handsome looking briefcase…just like my new truck.

Nothing like a little paddle ball after dinner in the evenings.
