Reel Art Press has done it again with the beautifully printed Weddings and Movie Stars from Books & Books. Featuring lots of unseen photographs, this coffee table tome gives us Shirley Temple’s first wedding at 17, the startling pairing of Ava Gardner with Mickey Rooney, Mick and Bianca in the back of a limo. More recent images include Madonna and Sean Penn and Sarah Jessica Parker with Matthew Broderick. There’s a section with equally glam stills of memorable movie weddings, and the cover features Bogey with a radiant Bacall. One of our favorite images is of Elvis and Priscilla about to cut their towering wedding cake, pictured above. This book is the perfect gift for anyone starstruck by romance or Hollywood or both.
