AGSN Past Exhibits

Celebrating its 24th year, the Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville brings together extraordinary antique and horticultural dealers, magnificent gardens, and world-renowned lecturers. Attendees can purchase anything from plant materials to museum quality antiques from over 150 antiques and horticulture dealers.

The 2014 Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville is the largest show in the country combining spectacular garden spaces, fine antiques, and horticultural items into one outstanding three-day show. Located in the new Music City Center in vibrant downtown Nashville, the show’s 150 exhibitors, renowned experts and fabulous gardens make it the ultimate destination for new and ardent antique collectors, avid gardeners, those seeking design inspiration, and anyone who enjoys a breath of spring in the midst of winter.

This year’s honorary chairperson is Charlotte Moss, multiple award winner and designer of private residences and executive suites all over the world. There are also fantastic lectures lined up for the weekend including Lady Carnarvon of Highclere Castles (better known as Downton Abbey), Jennifer Boles, Alexa Hampton, Mario Buatta and more. So pack your bags and head on over to Music City for some education, culture and of course, shopping!

Just Back From Vail Valley

Travel January 28th, 2014 — by:

There’s something magical about being in the mountains in the middle of winter. Snowy, peaceful. Somehow it’s quieter, the air lighter, and it dawns on you just how gorgeous nature is. Earlier this month, I flew out to Vail, Colorado with hotelier friends & colleagues to explore Vail, Beaver Creek, and Bachelor Gulch. While I’m not a down-hill skier, I absolutely love strapping on snow-shoes to get out into the back bowls with my camera. And let’s be honest, hot cocoa was made for a backdrop like this.

If you’ve been thinking about a ski vacation, there are still several months left to this season and record amounts of snow! And whether you’re dreaming of Whistler, Vail, or Megève, below are some Taigan finds to have you tootling through those mountain towns in winter-style.

Venice is consistently ranked among the top cities coveted by travelers the world over. And as a travel adviser I can attest to that. It’s iconic and sexy, from the narrow paths that sometimes end at steps to the water to the hidden squares with their charming cafés tucked away. The small churches and art galleries, and churches that have been turned into art galleries. The cuisine, the style, the way of life that is so different from nearly anywhere else in the world. I recently visited Venice while traveling northern Italy and found myself more in love with the city than ever before. From early morning walks through the gondola docks to afternoons spent sipping cappuccino in St. Mark’s Square to late nights restaurant-hopping with my husband in a quest to find the best pasta… If Venice has always been on your travel list, below are several recommendations for where to stay, where to eat, and what to see – Plus some fabulous Taigan Finds reminiscent of this romantic city.
