Making the Switch

Fashion November 29th, 2012

After a day at work or out running errands, there isn’t always time to go home and change clothes before evening activities. The key to taking an outfit from day to night is keeping your transition as simple as possible. Instead of jamming extra clothes in your bag and awkwardly changing in a bathroom stall, choose a dress that works for all times of day and make your transition with accessories.

This purple tunic dress makes the perfect blank slate. It’s a shape-shifter: can be worn loose or belted. And it defies season: can be worn barelegged in summer or with tights in winter.  For day, we suggest pairing it with flats, a patterned scarf, stud earrings, and a hobo bag. For night, reach into that same bag and make your switch. Swap out your previous accessories for glittery heels, a sparkly necklace, and a small clutch. Stash your day look under your desk or in your car and you’re ready to go!
