Vintage Ski Style

Fashion December 13th, 2012

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? We certainly are. A nice blanket of snow makes everything feel more festive. But in the past fifty years or so, winter style has gotten a bit less styled. Shearling and cable knit sweaters have been replaced by the all too practical puffers and fleece.

So we’ve pulled together some inspiration photos from back in the heyday of skiing style. No one would dare set foot on the slopes in Aspen, Zermatt, or Sun Valley without looking incredibly chic. While we’re all about staying warm, look for defined waistlines in coats and always carry a pair of cashmere gloves. Don’t forget a pair of big round black glasses to complete the look.
