Not only does Fritz Orr create the most beautifully handcrafted wooden canoe and stand-up paddles, but he gives a percentage of his sales back to a camp he loves so dearly as well. This is one of the many reasons we love him.

Fritz Orr, III – an amazing wood craftsman on Taigan – is donating 10% of each item sold of his to Camp Merrie-Woode all in order to give more kids the chance to experience what he was able to, growing up. His love for the outdoors began at an early age and his passion has grown into building his own successful business today. So he’s decided to continue to give back as much as he can.

In the spirit of Father’s and Mother’s Day quickly approaching, go ahead and purchase your own custom paddle from Fritz. You’re helping a great cause while you’re at it!

  1. May Louise Zumwalt says:

I am interested in buying a Fritz Orr custom made paddle for my son, Nathan Zumwalt. How do I contact Mr. Orr to make arrangements? Nathan is a high adventure canoeist — Is it possible to also get a wooden wall hanging rack so he can hang the paddle on his wall as art when he is not using it on a river? What would cost of paddle and rack be?
