anne-marie fetch 2

Anne-Marie is the spunky owner of Cicada (for Her and for Him) just off Oxford, Mississippi’s fabled courthouse square. We had the privilege of chatting with Anne-Marie and her husband, the very talented painter Bradley Gordon,  when they were in town recently for a show at Billy Reid. Needless to say, we were enamored with the dynamic duo!  Here, she selects a few “awesomely stylish” picks on Taigan. Enjoy!

The Kanan Crossbody by Morton + Hudson
Because I travel so much, I have been actively searching for the perfect cross-body bag to make my life easier when walking around big city streets. Since I blew my life savings last fall on a pony hair Celine bag, I have also been looking for one that doesn’t break the bank. This little gem fits both criteria and is so freaking cool.

Man of Letters by Old Try
The guys at Old Try are personal friends of mine and my husband’s, and I constantly marvel at the genius behind each one of their hand-pressed prints. I have a bit of a soft spot for good ole Mississippi and Micah and Marianna couldn’t of made a cooler rendition for the state. The best part is that Old Try is donating 10% of the proceeds from the sale of this print to Mississippi schools!!

Moritz Glik White Diamond Earring at Amanda Pinson
Woah Baby!! I think anyone would look pretty darn good in these! I am not one to wear eccentric earrings, but I do like an earring that packs a punch in it’s beauty and simplicity. Not only are these subtle enough to wear daily, but divide the cost by 365 and it breaks down to a mere $17 per day. Sounds like a no brainer to me!

And an alternative pick that I totally can see myself wearing all the time is the Kat earrings by Andrea Fohrman. I love the combo of the oxidized metal and rose gold. So unique!

Snake Vertebrate and Buffalo Tooth Necklace from S. Carter Designs
Necklaces are where I kick it up a notch and go a little crazy. I LOVE statement pieces. Since I like to keep everything else that I wear fairly simple, this is where I can bring the thunder. Like with this wicked cool necklace from S. Carter Designs. It’s a snake vertebrate! How amazing is that?! Furthermore, it will look perfect right now on a tan decollete.

All American Summer Selection from St. James Cheese Company
I am a cheese fanatic. The stinkier the better in my book. I actually had cheese from St James Cheese Company served at my wedding reception. Now, when I want to send a friend or good customer a little “happy”, these gift baskets from this NOLA institution are perfect!

Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream
Being a self proclaimed skin care junkie, this is my go-to under eye cream. I wear it day and night and all year long.

Women’s Leather Boot from Peter Nappi

The moment I saw these boots come up on Taigan, I was like “those are mine”!!! I love the rugged feel of them and they will be perfect with all of my Billy Reid dresses and tops. Sometimes I like taking a more natural approach to my clothes. Cotton, textured fabrics and roughed up leather are nice alternatives and/or compliments to anything silk.

St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Spray from Woo Skincare

Hands down, the best self tanner ever. Now that we are about to transition from summer into fall, a little daily/weekly tan maintenance with this bad boy and your tan will be good to go all fall and winter!

Cynthia Vincent Special Anniversary Blanket Sweater from Cicada

There is almost nothing that I love more than a cozy sweater that you can wear all day everyday. This sweater will be my go to this fall and winter. The bracelet length sleeves and high/low hem will look fantastic with my skinny jeans, Peter Nappi boots and Kanan crossbody bag. Is it cold yet because I’m ready!

Yankees Vintage T-shirt from Cicada For Him

Being the good and loving wife that I am, I bought this for my husband. But being the selfish and indian-giver wife that I am, I stole it back and wear it every night. Sorry sweetie! I still love you! I think I’ll get him the Red Sox one next. I need a new grey tee.

Ivory Shagreen Bowl by Gervis Design Studio

This is another piece I would give as a gift, but would also like to keep for myself. I am a sucker for things that have an organic look to them yet are luxurious. This bowl fits that bill perfectly with its Shagreen on the outside and hammered nickel finish inside.

Fredric Fekkai Glossing Travel Faves Kit at Woo Skincare

I can not live without my Fekkai Glossing Cream. It is the only thing that makes my hair manageable and silky once I blow it dry. I love that it is offered in a small travel size. Plus the fact that it comes with all the other goodies makes this kit a hit!
