Gilty Pleasures

Shops November 8th, 2012

When it comes to filmmaking, the golden hour is the best time to shoot. Just after the sun rises and just before it sets, the lighting is softer and warmer in hue, casting a beautiful glow. Technically, the golden hour happens just twice daily, but you can extend it by bringing some more gold into your life.

Whether it’s seriously blingy, like Alice + Oliva’s Darcy Glitter heels, or more subtle, like Revival’s gilded Martini table, gold makes for a great addition. When it comes to trim, gold works especially well to highlight a piece’s structural elements. So go for the gold, just don’t forget to report back and let us know how you used it.
